There are many activities to do on your Santa Monica California vacation from shopping to nightclubs to art galleries, The Pier and of course Santa Monica State Beach. I've listed lots of things to do below. |
The best way to find a place to stay in the area you're looking for is to compare these two travel sites. They both comb through 100s of booking sites across the net to find the best deals possible.
Click on each link, enter your desired destination and traveling dates. Also, its so important to read the reviews for each hotel you are interested in. Just because the picture might look nice, doesn't mean it is!
The Santa Monica Pier is always open and always fun! All these fun places I'm about to mention are separate businesses so you might want to call ahead for specific hours of operation. |
Santa Monica Playland Arcade for kids and kids at heart, this arcade will bring you back to your childhood and test your skills at games like Skeeball. Its fun but does get pretty crowded on the weekends. 310-451-5133 |
Pacific Park is where you'll find the iconic Ferris Wheel and Roller-Coaster sitting atop the pier. But that's not all... This amusement park has food, games and other rides for all kinds of family fun. 310-260-8744 |
The Historical Carousel always makes for a perfect first time kiddie ride. Can be booked for private parties and pairs perfectly with the vintage soda-fountain located inside. 310-394-8042 |
Santa Monica Pier Aquarium is a small aquarium but interesting to see the local sea life up close. Heal the Bay’s public marine-education center is hands-on fun tucked just underneath the historic Carousel building. 310-393-6149 |
Blazing Saddles is a bike rental shop conveniently located on the pier, ya know, just in case you get the urge for a bike riding adventure. 310-393-9778 |
Marlene's Beachcomber is a one-stop shop for all you beach needs. Did ya forget your towel or sun-screen? They've got it! In fact, they pretty much have everything you need for a nice relaxing day at the beach. 310-260-8744 |
Trapeze School - Fly above the pier and master the art of trapeze. Sounds scary? When was the last time you tried something new or daring? For more information or to sign up for a class, call 310-394-5800 |
Rusty's Surf Ranch - For live music! All-American live rock and drink specials. Burgers, sandwiches, pastas, wraps and more. I had a cheeseburger and fries, it was just okay. You can book private parties here. Call 310-393-7437 for more information. |
This picture was taken on a Sunday in the summertime. Parking sucks! You can actually park on the pier itself, but good luck! This is the lot just adjacent to the pier and it was full. Other nearby lots are full, you just have to keep driving around till you find something or get there early!! |
