Cabrillo Beach is a mile long and is great for swimming, volleyball, scuba diving and surfing. There are picnic tables, a playground area and a snake bar. Parking lots open a 5am and close at 10pm, its free for the first 20 minutes then a dollar to a maximum of 9 bucks a day. Payment is made in cash. This is like in all in one beach. You get the sand and surf but you also get a big grassy area with picnic tables, BBQs, trees and a boat dock for your jet skiis. Oh and not to mention you get the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium for free!
