There are a lot a things going on at the Los Angeles Zoo. Children's Classes, Outreach Programs, School and Group Programs, Zoo Overnights, Zoo Camp, Adult Education, oh and all the animals!
All the photos on this page are photos that I took while visiting the zoo. You can get a pretty good look at most of the animals except the elephants which are kept farther away. The picture of the elephant on this page is super zoomed in.
This zoo is open daily from 10am to 5pm, but keep in mind, they start putting large animals away at 4pm. They are closed on Christmas. You could walk through this zoo and see just about everything in a couple hours, depending how much time you spend at each exhibit or how large your group is.
Tip! The food and drinks here are very expensive! $5 for a soda! They do not give you lids or straws for the safety of the animals. Because you probably won't be here more than 3 or 4 hours, eat before you come or pack a lunch.
Children (under 2): FREE Children (ages 2 to 12): $13 Seniors (age 62 and up): $15 Adults (ages 13 - up): $18 Regular parking is free and not far at all from the main gate. Preferred parking is $5 and is right next to the main gate. |
4/2014 Update: I visited this zoo in 2013 when the admission price was $17 for an adult (see picture above). Prices can change at any time. If you have been to this zoo recently and these prices are not current, please let me know so I can update this page again, thank you.
