The Hollywood Wax Museum is a fun place to go goof-off and pose for pictures with famous movie stars. Yes… you can actually get up close and touch them!
Once you walk through the entrance it takes about 30 minutes or so to walk through. Its sort of like a maze that winds and turns throughout ending up where you started.
This museum opened its doors on Hollywood Blvd. on February 6, 1965. For more than 45 years, guests have enjoyed the chance to get close to the stars while making a visit to the world's most famous celebrity town.
I do have to say though, some of these wax figures are not very good. I’d stand there trying to figure out who this person is before I’d read the plaque.
While other wax figures looked so real that I’d poke them in the side to make sure they were fake before I posed for a picture!
Every photo on this page was taken at the museum and every celebrity is a wax figure.
Most of the pictures I posted on this page are of the better looking wax figures. It was still fun just walking around and when we left the Hollywood Wax Museum we went for a walk down Hollywood Blvd. checking out the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
There is a lot going on here in Hollywood. In fact, right across the street is Ripley’s Believe It Or Not and the Guinness World Records Museum. And just about a block down the street is Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, The Kodak Theatre, El Capitan Theatre, tons of shops and ticket places where you can get tickets to sightseeing bus tours like Starline Tours and Red Line Tours.

Parking If you find a parking spot out front on the street then you got really lucky. Otherwise, there are paid parking lots all over. Just drive around the area and you’ll find one. You might have to walk a couple blocks to get there but its not a big deal. Just wear good walking shoes. I found a parking lot a couple blocks away where I paid $8.00 for the whole day. |
Different ways to get Tickets You can walk right up and get tickets at the entrance and pay full price which is $16.99 for adults, $8.99 for children 5 - 12, seniors (55+) 14.99 and children under 5 are free. OR….Buy tickets directly from the Hollywood Wax Museum Official Website and get an online discount. $3.00 off each ticket. OR....You can get a Sightseeing Pass. Getting there is easy but you’ll probably hit traffic no matter what day of the week it is. It’s a very touristy area. Just type in the address of your starting point and these google driving directions will give you driving directions and a map.
